July 14, 2004 This summer Delta Air Lines will be participating in the 2004 Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Salt Lake Walk to Cure Diabetes. On behalf of the more than 16 million Americans living with diabetes, I would like to invite you to participate in this outstanding event by donating gift certificates or products to be sold in a silent auction fundraiser. The 2004 Walk to Cure Diabetes is scheduled for Saturday, August 28th at Wheeler Historic Farm. The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), the world’s leading nonprofit, nongovernmental funder of diabetes research, was founded in 1970 by the parents of children with juvenile diabetes – a disease which strikes children suddenly, making them insulin dependent for life. The disease also carries the constant threat of devastating complications. Their mission is constant: to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. The 2004 Walk to Cure Diabetes is fast approaching. With your help, it will be another record breaking event, bringing us closer to a cure for diabetes.
